20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (20.000 leguas de viaje submarino) is a 1954 American adventure film based on the novel by Jules Verne, directed by Richard Fleischer and starring James Mason, Peter Lorre, and Kirk Douglas.
It won two Academy Awards for Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects, and received a nomination for Best Editing.
