Andrés Gutiérrez Coto is a Mexican dubbing actor and announcer, with more than 30 years of experience. Also credited as Andrés Gutiérrez.
Mostly recognized for voicing the superhero Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also for voicing Australian actor Chris Hemsworth in most of his films. He has also voiced several important actors such as Hugh Grant, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ray Liotta, Jude Law, John Cusack, Russell Crowe, among others.
Biography[]
Andrés Gutiérrez Coto was born on August 7 in Mexico City, younger brother of fellow actor Sergio Gutiérrez Coto -with whom he shares a similar voice timbre-, and son of the first actors Andrea Coto and Sergio Barrios. He did his first roles from a very young age, beginning in 1978. He is a descendant of the Soler brothers, a great family of actors from the golden age of Mexican cinema.
Andrés has worked on several successful telenovelas for Televisa with producer Carla Estrada such as De frente al sol, Más allá del puente, Te siigo amando and El privilegio de amar for to mention a few and antagonized La revancha alongside Danna García in the city of Miami. In series, she participated in La rosa de Guadalupe, As the saying goes and Woman, real life cases.
In theater, in the beginning he participated in the play Papaíto long legs alongside Angélica María. In classical theater, he starred several times in Don Juan Tenorio, for which he has won several important awards, including the Harlequin award and the ACPT award, awarded by theater critics. He was in other important works including Vaselina alternating with Timbiriche.
He has also dabbled in cinema, locution, radio, soap operas, fotonovelas and as a conductor.
He has other projects in the medium and long term, in addition to continuing to participate in conventions and expos for dubbing fans and to continue giving his acting, voice-over, and dubbing conferences, courses, and workshops, as he has done for the last 15 years throughout the continent.
