Gerardo Reyero (born October 2, 1965) is a prominent Mexican voice actor. He is most recognized for being the voice of Freeza in the Dragon Ball franchise, Han Solo in the dub of the original Star Wars trilogy. and in several franchise projects, the second voice of Mamoru Chiba / Tuxedo Mask in the Sailor Moon franchise, Chorro E. Gato (known as Spritz) in The Samurai Cats, Aiacos from Garuda, Eo from Scylla and Asterion from Hunting Dogs from Saint Seiya, Gai the Mighty in the Naruto, Gantu in the Lilo & Stitch franchise, Scott Sumers / Cyclops in the animated series X-Men of the 90s and Odysseus (played by Armand Assante) in The Odyssey.

He is originally from Puebla. He arrived in Mexico City in 1986. He began his career in dubbing in 1989. He studied acting from 1986 to 1989 at the Andrés Soler Institute belonging to the National Association of Actors (ANDA). His educational preparation includes that of an elementary school teacher. Throughout his acting career he has done theater and commercial voiceover. Currently, he combines his work in this specialty with teaching dubbing workshops and the aforementioned activities.

General information

He specializes in playing elegant and serious men and villains, which is why he has a nickname that both the public and his fellow actors use: The heartthrob with the perfumed voice, although he also plays other roles.

Like other dubbing actors and announcers, he has entered hosting, with interviews and programs for the Edusat Network on public television (Channel 22) in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

He lent his voice to an advertisement for the telephone company Telmex to announce LADA in 1996.

In 2013, he lent his voice to the advertisements of the famous pastry chain El Globo and in the radio and television spots of the Government of the Republic of Enrique Peña Nieto, being highly sought after on national public channels since his mandate.

In 2014 he continued to lend his voice to various radio and television spots by the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) in which one of them referred to "Together against crime, Government of the Republic".
