Gonzalo Curiel Larráinzar (January 10, 1939 – March 29, 2020) was a Mexican actor and dubbing director.
He was one of the pioneers in the field of dubbing, he was easily recognizable by his deep tone of voice, quite characteristic of him, with which he played characters of an authoritarian nature and/or mostly conductors or masters of ceremonies.
Among the best-known characters he voiced are Kent Brockman from The Simpsons, Jerry Lewis in Totally Spies!, Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and one of his most memorable works was his portrayal of Gangster Johnny in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, among others.
He was the father of the actors Gonzalo Curiel Jr. and Eduardo Curiel and half-brother of the actress Tena Curiel, also deceased.
