Voice over and voice acting Wiki

John Wayne was an American actor who became the icon of the cowboy and the American commander (although he wanted to be a lawyer). He began in the last years of silent cinema, although it was in the 1930s that he established himself as an actor in 60-minute films and short Westerns. But thanks to John Ford his career reached its peak in films such as Stagecoach, Fort Apache, The Searchers, among other westerns, he was also known for his roles in war films. But it would not be until 1970 that the Academy gave him the Oscar for "Best Actor" for his role as an overweight, alcoholic cowboy in the film True Grit. He died of cancer in 1979, but his films remain part of American popular culture where there is a monument to his memory in Texas.
