Narciso Busquets (September 8, 1929 in Mexico, D.F. - December 14, 1988 in Mexico, D.F.) was a prominent Mexican actor and director who worked in film, theater, radio, television and dubbing.

In the field of dubbing, he had a career of thirty-three years, starting with the company CLADSA in 1955. His career in this specialty lasted until the day of his death. Accumulating a large number of roles, which he played masterfully, among them: George S. Patton in the film classic Patton, Battlecat and King Randor in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Trevor Ochmoneck in the early seasons of ALF and Professor Ratigan in Cops and Mice.

In addition, he also stood out for his spectacular interpretation of God in the original dubbing of The Ten Commandments.

As an anecdote, Narciso did the dubbing of the Mexican film Ánimas Trujano, directed by Ismael Rodríguez, providing the Spanish voice of the actor Toshirō Mifune.

Due to his career, mastery of the dubbing technique and dramatic interpretation of it, he is considered one of the greatest actors who have given dubbing in Spanish.

He began his career in 1937 as a child actor. During his beginnings in acting, at the end of the 1930s and at such a young age, he was one of the first actors in Mexico to perform reruns of his own dialogues on film, a direct antecedent of voice dubbing in Mexico.

He began dubbing in the 1950s, as an actor and later as a dubbing director, serving as a mentor in dubbing for novice actors, a work that would continue until December 14, 1988, the date of his death.

Personal life[]

He was the son of Joaquín Busquets Padrosa and Enriqueta Pérez-Rubio de Busquets. He was married to the dubbing actress Caritina González, with whom he had three children, and then with the actress Tena Curiel.

He died on December 14, 1988 at the age of 59 due to complications of pulmonary emphysema.
