Rubén Moya Acosta was a Mexican broadcaster, actor and dubbing director, with more than 30 years of experience. He voiced characters such as He-Man in the film and He-Man series from the 1980s, Emperor Zurg in Toy Story 2, in the film and series by Buzz Lightyear, Apollo in the The Knights of the Zodiac: Heaven Overture, among other characters. He was widely known for his characteristic gravelly tone of voice.

He is also remembered for being the voice of Jack Palance in the famous series of the 80s Although you may not believe it and for being the official voice of the program "Los 25 más" that was broadcast on the Channel 13 of TV Azteca, hosted the programs Terrores Nocturnos and Enigmas: El lado sinister de la historia which are broadcast on A+.

His artistic preparation was carried out at the Andrés Soler Institute of the ANDA and at the Dramatic Art Center (CADAC).

His masters in dubbing were the legends Víctor Mares and Narciso Busquets.

In the 90s he dubbed the voice of the actor Saúl Lisazo for the advertising of the Bacardi company, with the phrase "Quality is the responsibility of Bacardi and company... the quantity is your responsibility. Añejo de Bacardi, because you send".

Moya also dubbed the actors René Ruiz "Tun Tun", Gerardo Zepeda "El Chiquilín" and Roberto Ballesteros with picaresque language in Mexican films called "Sexycomedies".

In 2018, Moya became the new narrator of Dragon Ball Super, from the Tournament of Power saga, replacing the late actor José Lavat.

He passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 62 after a great fight against throat cancer that the actor suffered months ago.
