Speed is a 1994 American action film directed by Jan de Bont and starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Dennis Hopper. The theme song in the end credits was performed by Billy Idol.

It won two Academy Awards (1995) for Best Sound and Best Sound Editing.

Synopsis[]

Jack Traven (Reeves) is an LAPD cop facing one of the biggest challenges of his career: trying to hunt down a dangerous terrorist named Howard Payne (Hopper), who has planted a bomb on a city bus that will explode if it slows below 50 miles per hour. When he manages to board the bus, the driver is shot by mistake and has to be driven by a passenger named Annie (Bullock).
