The Simpsons is a famous American animated series created by Matt Groening (also creator of the comic strip Life in Hell, Futurama and Disenchantment) and produced by Gracie Films in association with 20th Television Animation.

The series was broadcast for the first time on April 19, 1987 as shorts from The Tracey Ullman Show and since December 17, 1989, it became an animated series independent 30 minutes (21-24 minutes without commercial breaks) and is originally broadcast on the North American network FOX. In Latin America it has been broadcast on the FOX channel (renamed Star Channel in 2021) since 1993.

It currently has a total of 34 consecutive seasons and is broadcast in several countries around the world.

Synopsis

The Simpsons live in the small town of Springfield, where Homer, an average American with a crayon in his brains, works as a safety inspector at an electric power plant; Marge is the housewife who tries to maintain order within the home; Bart is a restless 10-year-old urchin; her sister Lisa, 8, is an intelligent, vegetarian girl who loves to play the saxophone; and finally Maggie, a baby who sees everything that happens while sucking on her pacifier. But the Simpsons are not alone, they are accompanied by the particular universe of inhabitants of this unconventional city.
